2025 is a special year for ADD International as we celebrate our 40th birthday.

For four decades, we’ve been working together – a global community of dedicated disability justice activists and passionate supporters – to advance disability rights and create a more inclusive world.

To celebrate, we want to honour the incredible journey of disability justice movements around the world and the voices that have shaped it.

From activists in Asia and Africa to supporters in the UK, your story and experiences are vital in telling this collective story.

We want to hear from you. Tell us your story and together, let’s celebrate the progress we’ve made and inspire action for the future of disability justice.

How it works.

Share Your Story: Answer a few questions to share your relationship with the disability movement. Only answer the questions you feel comfortable sharing.

Upload Photos: Include a photo to accompany your story. This could be of you, your community, or something meaningful to your journey.

ADD International produces a range of communications resources to help people understand our work and we share these materials across a global audience. We like to share the experiences of real people who we work with in our communications as it helps to demonstrate the difference our work is making. By giving us consent to share your story, you give us permission to use it in our communications for the next 5 years.

Your safety is our priority. Please consider any risks to your wellbeing that may arise from your image and story being made public. You are under no obligation to take part. It is completely your decision as to whether you feel comfortable to do so. If you do take part, you are able to withdraw at any time. Should you decide you are no longer happy for your story to be shared you can withdraw at any time by contacting communications@add.org.uk

Who will my story be shared with? ADD International shares it’s communication materials with supporters, with other charities, service providers and powerholders in your area, region, country and internationally. ADD International has a global audience and we cannot control who sees all of our communications materials. Please think about any risks to your safety of certain audiences knowing your story. The content we collect from you will be stored securely with only certain ADD International staff authorized to access it. All files will be given codes and stored separately from any names or other direct identification markers for you. We will not store your data for any longer than 5 years.
