Join ADD's Race Against Disablism
If you are interested in raising funds for ADD by taking part in the Great South Run on October 26th? Please email or call Gail on 01373 475723 for more information, places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
A huge thank you to Kerry, Jamie, Lewis, Simon and Neil for completing the Bath Half Marathon and Gwen, Gen and Chris who completed the Great Manchester Run in May. They all made great times and between them raised more than £2000!
It's hard for small charities, like ADD to get places in major events. If you already have a place in these events, or any others, would you consider raising funds for ADD at the same time?
Focus group
The ADD focus group is a group of individual supporters who come together to discuss ADD’s work, supporter needs and meet overseas staff. They help us develop ideas for our communication and feed into our annual plans. If you are interested in joining the Focus Group us please contact Hannah on 01373 475724.
Volunteer
Perhaps you have time to offer us? We’d love you to plan an event to raise funds for ADD. If there is something you have always wanted to do, why not get yourself sponsored and raise some money for ADD whilst achieving that ambition? You can even set up your own online fundraising page via www.justgiving.com which makes it super simple for people to donate and for you to keep track of how much you've raised. WOMAD
Thank you to everyone who visited ADD at WOMAD - and to Andy, Mark, Ruth, Susie and Sian for volunteering and looking after the ADD site so well. The winner of the "Chocolate" draw will be announced at the end of August.
You could Zorb just like ADD UK staff did, we set up a justgiving page for donations, which was really easy - got in a big plastic ball and rolled down the hill - we raised over £300!
If you live in or around Frome in Somerset, you could join our small team of volunteers who come and help out in the office from time to time.
Work for ADD as a fundraiser
We have a small, close team of fundraisers who are employed on behalf of ADD to recruit new supporters. If you are interested and would like to try this work, there is a little more information on our jobs page or you call Andy on 07979 655081.
Other ideas
- Have a collecting tin at home or at your work place
- Have a small box of leaflets at work or social place to spread the word
- Start a local ‘Friends of ADD’ supporter group in your area
