ADD appoints new Chief Executive

Jill Flynn (previously Wagner) has been appointed as the next Chief Executive of ADD International.
Jill, who is visually impaired, previously held the position of National Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of the South African National Council for the Blind. Jill has twelve years’ experience in working with disabled people, primarily in Southern Africa, but also internationally with the
World Blind Union. She brings a breadth and depth of leadership experience that spans both the NGO sector and the business world.
Jill will take up her position in March 2009 and commented: “ADD has a great reputation, so this is an exciting opportunity. ADD carries out excellent work in Africa and Asia, empowering disabled people through
partnership and collaboration. I am looking forward to contributing to that work.”
ADD International’s former Chair, Chris Gillies, said: “I wish to thank our senior management team for providing interim leadership over the past year. I am particularly grateful for the leadership provided by Jabulani Ncube as Acting Chief Executive, who will now focus on his main role as Director of International Programmes and additionally take up the role of Deputy Chief Executive. I’m delighted that Jill has agreed to join us. Her experience and qualities will enhance the existing wide range of skills and experience in ADD as she leads the organisation in its next phase of development.”
