ADD founder Chris Underhill dropped in to say hello to ADD's chief executive Isaac Kute on October 4th 2006.
During their first meeting since Isaac's appointment in January this year, Chris presented Isaac with the original minutes and operational plan agreed at the very first ADD trustees meeting in October 1986. Chris Underhill set up ADD in 1985, inspired by the emerging disability movement in Africa.
Isaac said, "It was a pleasure to meet Chris and to share historical perspectives about ADD's mission since its inception. It's always important to draw from past achievements and challenges to help in shaping the future".
ADD maintains close links with Chris through Basic Needs, where Chris is the current CEO. Basic Needs is an international development agency working to address issues of mental health in Asia and Africa.
